Research X-Grog.

We should learn about what we're putting in ourselves. For all we know we could be drinking poison or rocket fuel.

Note: Athath does not drink. She tried it once, but the results have been unofficially forbidden to discuss.

Oh, I have really good aim. I don't know if you are planning on buying weapons, but anyway, I'd like something that can shoot them bloody purebloods at range, ay!

And thanks to you I tried this out instead of learning for my test tomorrow.

     Clearly XGrog is the most important item on the agenda, not even second to better weapons or armour, after XGrog, we might need to learn XGrog MkII, which I would demand we study.  Failing that: Armour.

     Also, love the style, Boltgun, keep it up and can you post all our stats, please?

Edit:
     As for the letters after the names, and this is all supposition:
  b = brave
  w = weak
  m = melee
  Sct = Scout {high time units}
  Snpr = Sniper {duh! but high accuracy}
  c = dunno, I didn't get one in my crew. {craven? <20 bravery, maybe}

   To get a rating, it looks like the relevant stat needs to be over 60/under 20

You can use the sniper rifle, that should last a couple battles. Afterwards we'll see what we'll loot.

That should it, I noticed that the ones with bad capacity have w. I'll try giving them all runt duds to compensate. Better to have bad aim than no gun at all. Stats will be posted next update.

Clearly the porn is of vital importance

Research Primitive Weapons.
Then we can unlock acid weapons. And those rock.

I'll complete Our abilities from the previous update, then primitive weapons then X-grog.

9, Jan 2601

First thing, the clothing distribution has been reorganised a bit. All the weakest hands have received runt duds. It’s not the ideal battle attire (the ideal being naked of course), but Eve Jobs-sama prefered them to hit inaccurately better than not hitting at all.

Unfortunately, this meant that most of the mutants are wearing those duds. It’s a wonder how they could get out of jail in the first place seeing how little muscle mass the crew represent. The runts also asked for some metal of the lowest quality, so a little stock has been ordered from outside.

11, Jan 2601

The brainers have been putting a couple of pirates into several kind of physical tests. Running, obstacle course, climbing and a few more that are better left unwritten. Between this and the report of their first encounter with a pureblood, they have been able to declare, without surprise, that the group of pirate gals are a much higher step of evolution.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

(This explain a few X-com gameplay features. The part about the flashlight blew my mind because I never knew that you could turn light off the soldiers. Not that it could have made a difference in the original game but here humans have a shorter sight then mutants. Another worthy note is that mutants get better stats over time when they acomplish actions during battles, it is documented on the ufopaedia.)

All this sport (or what qualified as such), gave the brainers an idea. They could easily weave gym suits out of the fabric they have laying around. All they needed was some time to draw patterns.

14, Jan, 2601

The brainers got epicly drunk. Eve Jobs-sama expected them to be more moderate, with them being smart and all, but they were in fact even less restrained than runts. She gave up discipline this time and downed half of the barrel singing lewd songs. This led the Big Boss to some interesting discoveries: that mutants does not feel hangovers, that if her hands can get drunk too they will be unstoppable and the grog is a good cleaning solvent.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The only problem is that it’s a big barrel, if only she could devise some way to divide up among her crew, like in small objects, and it could be transparent to see if there is still some inside… How could it work?

(And yes, alcohol replaces medkits here. Unlike bandages and regular medits, they do not restore health and so does not prevent wounded time. However it always cost less time units and can be used on yourself instead of needing the gals to hug each other after getting hit. Making this much more convenient.)

20, Jan 2601

Every pirate is doing her best to break boredom, a batch of x-grog has been sent away for cash, and the brainers figured that, if you put a string on a stick, you could use it to propel things away. This is surely a great discovery.

Giggles could be heard from the brainers corner, apparently the purebloods had some interesting read.

(WARNING, semi NSFW)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Eve Jobs-sama did not have the energy to tell them what this third arm actually was and left them into their fantasies. At least the gals have been motivated into dragging men alive back into the hideout.

Ah, finally !

(And here’s a bonus image, it was there from the start but I did not included it in the first post. It's x-com 101.)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Choice time:
What to research next?
* Poisons
* Weaponry (basic bullet, clockwork gun)
* Armor (smoke ops, basic protection, armor parts, gym suit)
* Lore (scout doc)
* Misc (Minecraft, plastasteel, fuel)

Also you can request any of the new weapons for manufacture.

Steady…

Steady…

Out!

The supply ship is taking turns over the ocean and it is best to wait. Otherwise the booty will sink into the abyss and this adventure will be nothing for a waste of fuel. After a few minutes, it took the direction towards the confederation and the Bonaventura zoomed into it at ramming speed.

Needless to say, it was downed pretty quickly. The gals took each their guns, with Rince Wind clenching the sniper rifle so no one will take it. The runt duds really helped this time, everyone could at least hold a pistol and a cutlass, plus other accessories.

And the pirates started with some smoke cover…

This proved to be a good idea as the gals immediately surprised their first friend. Euchre Jane let the powder talk and so does Fatima Ann…

Who hit EuchreLane in front of her!

Hopefully Rince Wind jumped down the ramp with the sniper rifle and gave the guard a clean hit! Scoring the crew’s second kill. The other gals ran down to give Euchre bandages, leaving her with a nasty wound in the back. And so we have our first wounded… by friendly fire.

Good job Fatima.

On the other side, Darkening Kaos and Amperzand scout the other side and find…

A handsome boy, not very muscular and a bit scared. The gals wanted to try and bring him home and check if he have a third arm.

In fact, one of the gals could not wait and ran to him, the frightened boy shot at her, hitting her in the chest. Her mutant physique kept her alive, but for how long?

Amperzand had no choice but to save the stupid gal. And get a kill. A civilian, but a kill none the less.

On the other side, the gals spotted two more boys, they are trying a more subtle aproach this time. The men back up while one of the gal creep up. But this does not go well as she too can a face full of lead and fell. ‘What happened’ yelled Athath but before she could react, Fatima Ann ran in and shot the boy dead. Before another gal give the other boy a chainsaw treatment.

After the dust and gore settled in, Athath ran to help the wounded woman. She was still alive but unconscious. It will take a long time for her to recover, not to mention that Euchre Jane is also going to stay in the sick bay for 21 days. The problem is that there is not enough place to hire replacements and the wounded gals are valuable enough to not send away. The pirates will have to play with three less hands for now.

Among the loot were 3 assault pistols, a spraygun, a blackmarsh SMG and an assault rifle, as well as HE grenades an some credit chips that were sold for cash. Some promotion were also provided to a few seabi... seadogs who felt more confident with the art of killing and stealing.

Spoiler: New guns (click to show/hide)

The assault rifle was unknown to the pirates so while they could use it, they did not know its capabilities. And the HE grenades looked much less useful than black powder bombs. Why bother priming a timer when it’s always going to be zero?

But the pirates could not rest this time. As men of power took notice of their adventures...

25, Jan 2601

Eve Jobs-sama was awaken early the next day, 11am being what she call early. Disgruntled and half clothed, the Big Boss walked into what became her command room. A small place full of radio equipment and flickering monitors. What Darkening Kaos explained to her however made her mood worse. A really disturbing signal was being broadcasted in the archaic AM frequancies.

"... are hitting people on the street! I repeat, this is the mutant alliance! Soldiers are firing at us at the streets in Hel, killing men and women without discriminating. They even dragged and beaten up a pureblood friend of mine calling him a sympathizer. I mean... please, anyone, I beg of you, help us, they are killing us without reason! Help us..."

The once easy going Big Boss was gone, she pointed toward the screen yelling.

"I want the 'ventura in the air! Ye get in there and kick their asses! Why ye still doin' here, out, out!"

Hel indeed.

---

Considering that we are reaching the end of the month, I’ll start building barracks. I cannot recruit anyone currently and any wounded will make missions harders. Plus I can use a couple of more brainers.

And note to self: bum rushing civilian with handles, not a good tactic.

Pirate list:

* Poisons
