I updated the Archive

Drazoth, at the end of your turn, can you give me a list of all dwarves alive.... or dead if it comes to that.

Also, an issue I've noticed with this version, is that the Goblins don't attack till at least the third year... could just be me, but even when I embarked right next to their citadels, nothing til year three. Is it just me?

I'll see what I can do. I'll be at work for the next 6 hours or so, so it will have to wait till then. Speaking of saves, has Gwolfski tracked down the last save of DoomForests yet?

I doubt it, his track record lacks something to be desired. I'll dig up the old save and do some adventurer spelunking. I love adventurer mode. I wish it was MORE in-depth though :D

Drazoth, I'll extend your time from Thursday to Saturday if you need it. BUT, only this once, since it was my fault you have an extra season to play.

Sorry for the lack of updates, things got busy unexpectedly.  The fort still lives and I'm going to try and play as much as I can before Saturday.  I should be able to get to Fall at least.  On the plus side, the fort now has a temple.  Not a very good one, but a functional one.

EDIT: I think we might have a vampire.

Oh hey, update.    Did you get over 20 dwarves, Ryukan?

And sucks to be that Tortoise.

In any case, should perhaps edit that post into somewhere more chronologically appropriate for those reading through the thread later on.

Did the vampire appear as a result of the temple?

The vampire is not confirmed.  All I have is a dwarf found dead under strange circumstances.  And the vampire would have arrived before the temple was even dug out.  If it is a vampire, it's not an old one like Osp, more likely a younger one, given none of the fort occupants are raising any of the red flags an old vampire would.

Dead as in found drained of blood or just found dead? The game will say if they were drained of blood.

Just dead.  I don't think it could be a were beast, as I'm certain I'd get a ton of cancellation spam.
EDIT: Justice screen isn't listing the death as a murder, so now the mystery deepens.

It wasn't a vampire, or else they would have been found dead "drained of blood". I'm guessing either an infection or an FB syndrome. Are you willing to use DFhack's deathcause command?
