See like, he must know it's there though. And he said he's looked for ways to leave.

It's probably some sacred artifact he's not allowed to touch or something. So at that point it's like we can use our DRAMATIC SPEECH PROWESS to pretend to be some kind of prophesied chosen one allowed to use the sacred spaceship of space escape, or we have to explode his head with blood magic and the FUN song will make me sad forevermore. I bet he's immune to blood magic somehow.

Option 3 is that the power of friendship has changed him and we go on mad cool space/time adventures. That's what I'm hoping for.

It is like a horse carriage, but made of fancy.

He knows what buttons and levers are because of dwarves.

To be fair we don't actually know that it's a spaceship or even a vehicle. The Drive could be the dimension-hopping drive, or the time machine drive, or the hard drive where Matthias keeps the weird stuff. We might be in for more than we thought is the point.
