Well, I can give you this hint. The charm is Abysslord's Bone, and it closed you all in the village, only way to escape is use of magic. It inverts all bonuses and gives additional -1 penalty until the battle is over. All kinds of hostile, escape and bonused actions get this penalty. User of the bone is obviously not affected by penalties.

He may just laugh at you. It's a boss, you need stronger charms.

It does not invert penalties to bonuses, only bonuses to penalties.

...Can I try to summon Maelstorm or call the Thunderlord with the arcane ashes and have him fight this guy? Can I try to contact Archangel Cilber by prayer or something like that? If I fuse with Smoke, will my armor break and would I get an extra bonus that would become a penalty? Can Smoke absorb the arcane ashes, can I when I merge with him?

Maelstorm is gone, you have his embers. Thunderlord is somewhere out there, you may try. I doubt that Cilber will have time to help you out. You don't lose items due to union and don't get bonuses, you get extended and refilled HP. You can roll with those embers. Merging is your skill, you can use it if you want.

Mhm. So, because I get a -4 to all actions now, I can't even extinguish myself to bring that -4 down to -2 because I'd get a -4 on extinguishing myself and just end up getting nothing done, because I currently can literally only get a 2 or a 1 (read as: alternately skinned 2).

Stop being a part of the battle. No, I'm not leaving, so it's not an escape action; I'm literally just not participating, because I cannot do anything at all because of how the mechanics are set up, so I'm just going to do nothing and stop being involved in this battle so that it doesn't have to concern me.
So that as far as it concerns Aaron Blaze, the condition "until the battle is over" is fulfilled.
