I'm actually planning to put something like this eventually in my personal mod (naturally the effects of the elixir prove to be quite the opposite of becoming immortal). :D

This would actually be awesome if you could fund your own expeditions and send others to die do the dirty work for you.

Some dwarves should like socks so much that they elect them as mayors, while other more fanatical ones may begin to worship certain old (and possibly smelly) socks as gods. In the myth and magic release this can lead to socks actually becoming divine beings.
