Interesting. Here, all alcohol in 18+. But yeah, kids will still get drunk on Friday evening on cheap vodka + cheap cola. The joys of cheap alcohol.

Sheb, is that the age barrier for drinking or for buying? Because AFAIK in Germany there's circumstances in which a toddler could down a botle of Jack without breaking a single law.

Mmmmh, technically, I think it's illegal to sell/give alcohol to people underage. I've never heard of anyone having troubles for possessions/drunkeness. So I guess if you forgot a bottle of whiskey on the pavement and some kids found and downed it, everything would be legal.

In NZ, consumption of alcohol under the age of 18 is illegal unless you're with a parent, in which case anything goes (but the parent might be prosecuted if they routinely get you drunk).

That's pretty much what it looks like over here, too. Most of it was melted by yesterday, but nature decided to say "fuck you" and snow another several inches this morning.
