I cannot complain about the manifold good ideas to have come since the last update, but I just realized I made a mistake:

the sci-fi equivalent of smokin' pipes.

XV-15 is known to be uncomfortable with smokeBe sure to use only smoke-free smokin' pipes.  Maybe ones that blow soap bubbles.

That would be okay.  But wouldn't you like soap bubbles?  I can imagine various mutants having the ability to make soap bubbles float into unusual physics-defying shapes.

TS-419 seems less happy now.
He thinks there may be a stop in the cogs of revolution.



He apologizes profusely and says that he didn't know what he did wrong.
Suddenly, nary half a minute ago, the whole vizu screen network got shut down for "maintenance"
He didn't think he had materialized enough guns and yogurts.
He says RF-5271923 and TQ-8675309 are out checking other dormitoria for access.
He wonders if you know what the problem is.

I might note how much I enjoy these recent hand-drawn updates.  This panel from the previous update looks like art you'd get in a Choose Your Own Adventure book.  The recent oil painting is unexpected and cool.  Then we hear this:

It's actually acrylic. I don't have the dough to get oil paints. I was going to do all of them but the quality of my brushes and the paper did not cooperate.
The steel walls generally call for a more wet brushed approach but the paper couldn't tolerate such a thing, thus, an out of place painted panel.

Okay, time to take stock.  RF-5271923 and TQ-8675309 are these two:


When we last spoke about supplies, we were told:

You briefly instruct them on how to run your hacking machine and direct them to
materialize a much larger arsenal of Tix rifles. You have a feeling your stockpile of 24 won't be enough.

. . .

He apologizes and says in the four or five minutes you were gone on the other side of tower 2
he only had time to materialize 144 yogurt cups, and he seems to have run out already.
He wonders as to his ability to procure more when the materializer is in use.

Just now, we were told TS-419 "didn't think he had materialized enough guns and yogurts."  Therefore, we have somewhere over 24 rifles and somewhere over zero yogurt cups.

In the crowd scenes, Robocorn has yet to actually draw 24 Sectoids at once (NO, REALLY?) but we are told that we still don't have enough rifles.  I recommend: get a quick, complete head count.  (Or count of relevant units, maintaining sensitivity to level of mutation.)  Find out what Sectoids have combat abilities by themselves, such as (possibly) the really burly one over there.  Arm all the others, ensuring that those from the first round of recruitment get guns (if they aren't too nervous).  Such individuals may serve as combat leaders.

It would be nice to recall RF-5271923 and TQ-8675309 from their scouting before they get killed, but, well, so much for the visu system.  We'll have to find them.

Wait before we make a squad of droid murdering mutants and sparking another droid war. Let's check the background data on this droid so that we can be sure his words isn't just a malfunction droid having a Nam flash back.

Get the meager gun stash and equip it to your lieutenants and those who support you the most.  Have the other, less revolutionary Sectoids grab whatever they can as weapons, make them irregulars, while your main troops hold off any enemies.

First, ask if there's someone who can hack vizu's and/or materialisers. Next, for a group of crack commando's (just pick the ones that would look the coolest in an action-pose) and find the vizu-nexus. There must be a central command of those screens somewhere, and clearly that center is key to success!

That would be us.  According to TQ-03's first appearance, we hacked it in the first place; and "as far as the administration knows you're a level 5 mutant," whatever that means.  The list of known skills of the first batch of recruits does not indicate anyone so far is a more awesome hacker than us, though a number of them held technical jobs in general.

I suppose anyone who is really knowledgeable could be left behind at a vizu-hub to try working on the thing throughout the battle.  I just think that the droids likely have access to lock-down controls which are pretty thorough.

This means that the droid is capable of distance communication right now, and will just report any and all plans it hears.  We have to assume droid communication works even with the vizu system down.  I think . . .

This calls for some reprogramming.


Delegate all these head-counting and armed-unit-organizing responsibilities to strategic minds, such as that of Lieutenant General SC-412.  Find whatever tools were used for reprogramming 00AEEF.  Turn off the new droid's Dangerousness Subroutines.  And also, if possible, hack the droid communication system as a possible alternative to the vizu system.

How many of these suggestions do you think you can actually draw, Robocorn?

Well to the eyes of the suppressors maybe. This is the place where they dump mutant and defunct droids, if so then we should band together the two groups to make a large force to fight for better rights this droid going through PTSD and believe it's in the robot wars next he going to think droids going to save him and he a Prisoner of war.
