for some reason metal and jazz sounds great together
That's, like, double sacrilege.

Anyway, I'm not sure if this is a really good or really, really bad choice of listening for a cold morning when you have to get up early, but I'm listening to it and the title at least is appropriate either way. :P

Oh, and I was meaning to post this in the Happy thread, but this song/performance absolutely blew my freaking mind when I came across it the other day. Life-changing stuff. I have a new instrument hero I guess.

I love music designed to play in the background.
Chiptunes too, but they tend to grab attention.
Other tracks just own their spot behind a good think.

Even tho that speech from the dictator is fucking overused in every bloody indie song these days, the rest of the song is good enough to overlook that.

Randomly ended up at a bar where a Swedish speedrock band was performing live, Scumbag Millionaire.
It was surprisingly good, and the band was a friendly bunch. Drank beers with the drummer until 4am, had a genuinely good time. And a hangover next day  :D

Savlonic cover of Sweet Dreams.

It's not an amazing cover IMO, even though I love Savlonic.

But listening to it reminded me of the first time I heard Sweet Dreams as a kid in the early 90s, and how it had an actual impact on me. Back then it had a weird Public Safety Announcement quality to it in my mind, for everyone, men and women, about how the world works. And she perfectly embodied what the song was about, like the Devil very thoughtfully warning you what you were getting in to. As a 10 year old I didn't know whether to terrified or intrigued, so I was both.

So have the original too.
