Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I drew a map thing after an hour of struggling with Krita's brushes.

If anyone knows Krita, please help! I can't make the brushes different widths no matter how softly I press, only the value changes.

I believe some of them work differently. Basic_circle should be pressure -> size, but you can adjust any brush by shift + clicking and drag left or right. There's a metric shitton of fiddlybobs in the brush engine settings menu (4th button on the right in the main bar) that I haven't had time to play with much, as well.

EDIT: The circle cursor is the MAX size a brush can be at maximum pressure. If you're working really small, there won't be any variation to speak of. Soft-edge brushes are also a little harder to tell at small sizes than hard-edged ones.

And then, they will be weaponized. Like everything in this game, from kittens to babies, everything is a potential device of murder.
So if baseless speculation is all we have, we might as well treat it like fact.

I do believe I've improved :D

I recreated one of my old pixel arts and this is the result, like anything, it isn't anywhere near perfect, and it does have a few errors like the shadow and dent on his helmet being a bit wonky, but I think it turned out rather well to be honest.

I do believe you have!

Also, it's this sort of thing that makes me wish they make anti-tracking plugins for mobile:

Well hey, that's not bad at all! I see a few redundant pixels on the outline here and there (more specifically, at some of the diagonal sections of the curves), but otherwise the linework's pretty solid. Seems like the lizardface(??) has its shoulders rather far back, though. :v

Oh yes, definitely an improvement, especially in the resolution department. c:

Spoiler: Critical Hat engaged (click to show/hide)

The (un)fortunate side effect of higher resolution is that it's much easier to nitpick. :P (disclaimer: i don't mind people nitpicking my stuff, it's not a requirement though)

also i guess i quickly doodled this suspicious mole due to people in the happy thread talking about suspicious moles that turned out to be suspicious but completely harmless moles

Kind of looks more like an anteater, but eh. :v

DREI ZWEI EIN

SWOOSHYLINES. (courtesy of Android Arts, full tutorial here, swooshylines found under the line art section)
They're stupendously helpful for making poses look better, human or not. Learn the swooshyline, and you can make ALL THE POSES. :v

Honestly though, i don't think the dithering works for relatively clean metallic surfaces like that. Knight armour, while possibly a bit dented and scratched, is usually polished to all hell, and doesn't have a grainy texture.

I can easily redo this bit, I've gotten better at MAKING the dithering, but not a whole lot better at putting it on something that actually makes sense xD

Also, it feels like the mouth holes are rather haphazardly placed. The middle one should possibly be vertical, and the furthest one (to our right) should appear narrower due to the curvature of the helmet. In fact, i think you could get away with making them all narrower, one could nearly fit an entire spear through there. :U

Another easily doable thing :D

The hands are pretty decent, no specific complaints there.

Thanks! Those were the hardest things to do :D

One thing that bothers me intensely about the feet is that the furthest foot sticks further down than the nearest. It might just be me being a horrid nitpicker, but i feel like it should be the other way round. :v

I actually never noticed until you pointed it out, gotta get out of that habit.

It seems a bit odd to me that the cape curves TOWARDS his feet, since normally, it'd probably either just like flop into a bunch on top of itself or get dragged away from the knight due to friction. EXAMPLE DOODLE (nevermind the phallic shape of his torso, that's just me accidentally drawing dicks without even trying).

I can fix this too, but I might have to redo the entire cape, oh well, it'll look that much better when I fix it.

AND FINALLY, the feather plume kind of looks more like a sausage (not a dick, mind you, just a sausage). Plumes like that will basically never have such a neat outline, it generally needs to be fluffy and/or flowing.

I basically took the shape from the original without even thinking of making it look more like a plume. This is what happens when you are a lazy artist xD Another easy fix.

Spoiler: Large Imagedump (click to show/hide)

I've been amusing myself during math lessons by scribbling a bit. The pictures are in chronological order, kinda feel like my art has been improving.

Oh man, if only i wasn't anxious about making classroom doodles like that. :v

also today i have proven myself to be possibly the most impatient fartist ever

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Originally wanted to make a 5 panel XCOM 2 comic, with an unusually high detail level for me. That is as far as i got before my impatience got the better of me. Perhaps i should have storyboarded it before going to the detailing part. :v

but hey at least you get frobro

When you get an idea try doing really tiny thumbnails first. Then all the planning is done and all you have to think about is drawing.

I need to make more dynamic drawings I guess... (and not of the same things over and over again but goddamnit I'm lazy.)
EDIT: Added a picture I somehow missed.

@HappySlap: Oh wow.
@DorsidDwarf: As shook said , linework is decent. The background could be more textured(different colors for the grass and the clouds). The shading is weird to me , if it's actual shading.Maybe remove the black outlines , just make darker blue , i think it look better.Or just totally remove them.
