Not sure what I intended with this one.

The top of her head was cut off by like ten pixels in the original photograph, but by that point I was so incredibly sick of cutting Asian women out of stock photos that I didn't care. It did fuck up the blur/vignette thing but eh, this was a quickie.

Also, that text turned out really ugly. Scaling that kind of graphic does not work well.

Right, uhm. This year's sucked, so I haven't done much in the way of art for months. I'm having to force myself to do it again. Here's the first thing I've done beyond a couple pages of very basic junk since late April.

Trying for foreshortening and stuff, first attempt. Go ahead and tear it up if you want.

Not bad for a first attempt, actually! Foreshortening is one of those things that are frequently cited to be on par with hands in terms of frustration, and well, foreshortened hands are literally satan. :v
ANYWAYS, actual criticismy things: The "shortening" part is decent, but the effects of perspective need to be exaggerated a bit more. Also, i'm not sure which way the front hand is facing; the pose of the hand says palm inwards, but the thumb position says the opposite. Also also, legs are too straight, gotta loosen up those knees a bit.

also i tried doodling some foreshortening too and uhhhhhhhh

Also i finally got going on my dorfen smith animation again, and basically decided to redo it from frame 1 because the walking animation was too boring.

This entire animation is only 5 frames longer than the previous walk to anvil thing, and hey, i like this animation style a lot more. Looks nice and snappy, and is a lot quicker to make as well. What's not to like?
Now i just gotta clean it up and add a few details, such as maybe a beard. Can't have a dorf without beard.

Shooks are bad coordinators, so a few hundred of them together would be a clusterfuck without peer.
