Infinite divisibility implies infinite information density is possible.  This is not consistent with any experiment to date. (information in terms of information theory, and how it relates to physics.)

This, and other problems like it (such as Xeno's paradox), all presuppose that an infinite amount of something can fit into an infinitely small volume.  Even in our universe, there is much conjecture if the heart of a black hole is indeed a singularity point, or if it is a planck-unit sized granule, or if it is prevented from further collapse inside the horizon.  The smallest information quanta allowed to contain the information of the black hole is the event horizon, not the singularity.

The existence of event horizons on black holes shows pretty conclusively that such infinite information density is not allowed by the universe.  This means that the question is answerable.

This means that the question is answerable.

Not with the current means of measuring it, though.

Oh.

Very good.

For some reason I was wanting to calculate how many times it landed on a train, which is silly.

Technically, because it's a limit, it lands infinity times on each train by the time they meet.

The fly never makes it from one train to the other, because it would first have to get halfway from one train to the other, and it cannot ever do that because...

Or we can take a step back from the theoretical and note that this supernatural, possibly angelic fly will be very briefly in contact with both trains at once; just before the trains lose contact with their own constituent parts.  Based on where the goo lands, we could switch this to a Ship of Theseus question about which hunks of scrap still count as train A or B.

How many angelic flies can dance on the head of a pin?

None. they were too busy venerating the moon millipede, but then the moon exploded.
<3 for this, but naked singularities are still totally an open question and there are clear means of creating them consistent with known physics.

It is!
Apparently it's from Cook, Serve, Delicious. My interest in actually playing that game is basically zero, but it certainly has some pretty nifty art assets and I appreciate the fact that somebody decided to release pretty much every single one of them as a premium avatar.
