I think that was kinda done when they more or less ported it into SC2. There's custom maps there, think there's even a campaign of sorts, with pretty much all the races and units from 3+FT.

Even so, a HD remake (which I don't think is strictly needed since WC3 is one of those games that hasn't aged a day since it came out) isn't really a new game, just replaying the old in a shiny new coat.

So uhh, how did this fly under everyones radar again?

From the video description I'm getting a feeling it's going to be some sort of conquistadors/X-com type of thing with turn based combat and party managment while exploring and hunting for tech.

Even has a damn steam page :O

Woah hey.
The video has less than 100k views which is frankly startling. Mightn't have even made it to Reddit yet.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Well it's unlisted for some reason, so I'm not sure if an official reveal was made or anything, but it was uploaded a month ago. No idea what they're up to tbh.

There's no gameplay, so. Not much to talk about.

However I am still at half-mast.

edit

I see the story is written by Ben Counter.  Not the greatest BL author, but certainly not the worst either.

The it would be a game about the mechanicus sucking Gray Knights and Ultramarines dicks.

I'm curious as to how a tank would evolve. Would it climb out of the primordial ooze wiggling it's track-nubs, feeding on smaller jeeps before crawling onto the shore having evolved proper treds?

What's Matt Ward done since rejoining GW by the way? I remember he did that PETA thing but otherwise I haven't heard anything.

I’m sure he had nothing to do with the current plotline or Space Marines inside a Space Marine.

PETA thing?
PETA lambasted 40k because some of the characters wore fur. In response, Ward wrote this:

PETA criticising WH40K is like...

Is like...

I was trying to come up with a witty metaphor but concepts fail me.  This is the very epitome of a particular kind of absurdity.

To be fair, PETA critiquing 40k is like space marines wearing fur over their armor.

The thing that always gave met a WTF moment about PETA and 40K was that they looked at 40k and though to complain about fur on armor? What about simple servitors made from animals? What about genetically modified and augmented horses used as war beasts? (just as two examples out of many)
