I think people were looking for pink for the pvp multiplayer. Dunno if they already found some or if plans changed, but it could be worth mentioning in that thread.

I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Tunneling through liquid is slow, but thankfully not dangerous.

Wow, I literally found FOUR cobalt helmets, four cobalt breastplates, and fifty three gold before the damn pants dropped.

Oh well. Star cannon time.

Try magma.

Yeah, it's easy. Just place blocks to replace magma and then chew out blocks.

Will people move into a house near corruption?

I've had the guide move into a small room on top of a decent sized (large enough to spawn eaters, at least) ebonstone tower, so I'd guess probably. Even had an ebonstone floor, though the other three sides were made of wood.

Would have to test to see if th'same would go for the natural corruption area, though. I'm still guessing yes, and now have a vague urge to go turn a corruption chasm into a little town/tower.

My server had a Dryad in someone's giant Ebonstone fortress.

Yeaaah... I'm relatively quite-entirely sure you can have folks move into corrupted areas, now. You do have to knock down ebonstone backwall, though. Dunno about the need or lack thereof to build from something besides ebonstone for the walls. I may have just been impatient.

Spoiler: Bloody good proof (click to show/hide)
Yup. Bottom of a corruption chasm.

They won't spawn in the room and his presence will lower the spawn rate in the area, but there's nothing stopping a devourer appearing just off-screen and attacking.

Are Devourers immune to magma, like Bone Serpents?  Because if not, I know one way to keep them out.
