Round Three- Turn Eleven
In which maps grow



slash the bat to death, then head east.

Theodolus hurls one of his throwing knives at the Giant Bat, [6]vs[4]-1 piercing its heart! The Giant Bat falls to the ground dead, and Theodolus earns ONE POINT!

Recovering his dagger, Theodolus moves east into Room 4. There is a crude dagger and an Oaken Wand here, with one exit North. He recognizes this room as the one Powder Miner started in, and his map merges with the dearly departed Powder Miner's!

Go Northward, but be wary of Traps

adwarf opens the door to the North, entering a seemingly empty room. [6] A quick search reveals no hidden traps. There are exits North and East.

Break off and retrace my steps. Try to escape back into 69

[4] Spartan fights back his nausea and successfully retreats from the Orc Captain, running back into 69 and slamming the door behind him! Lacking a way to lock the door, he attempts to hold the door shut through brute strength.

Head back west, then check if the blob left a "corpse" or not.
If so, offer it on the altar.
If not, head south then south again, checking for traps in the new room.


Bulldog walks back westward to room 11. Seeing no corpse to offer to his god, [3] Bulldog continues jogging south, [3] and without breaking pace moves south into a new room! This room is poorly lit, and its extent is mysterious- Bulldog will have to explore the room to determine what- if any- other exits exist.

Bulldog checks for traps, [6] and not only finds a Rolling Boulder trap (with its associated boulder,) but he also finds that this room contains nothing else, and no other exits.

Try to cut off one of the horse's legs again.

[3]-2vs[3] Bob attempts to sever the leg of the infuriating beast, but the Pony dances out of reach of his sword!

Aggravated Monsters

The Orcish Captain in room 36 attempts to break down the door between him and Spartan! [3]vs[2] Using all his strength, he rips open the door and walks into room 69!

The pony in 9 kicks at Bob, [3]vs[5] but Bob is able to evade the strike! The pony bites, [3]-1vs[1] and catches Bob in the leg! It deals ONE damage and imposes a -1 penalty to dodge until the end of turn 12!



Primary Objective- Find the Amulet of Yendor

Currently: Finding boring rooms at 61

Inventory-  Adventuring garb, Amulet of ESP, Throwing Knives
Status- Normal

Inventory- Adventuring garb, Blessed Short Sword, Ring of Regeneration, Bear Trap
Status- Has prayed once, Arms- Moderate Wound, Nauseous

Currently:  Alone in the dark at 13
HP- 10/10
Inventory- Robe and Wizard's hat, Spellbook of Protection, Crystal Wand, Land Mine

Grab the Oaken Wand, then head back to room 8 and sense for life in the room to the west before cautiously entering said room.

In which maps grow... again



Head back to 12 and search for any hidden doors.

Bulldog leaves the dark room, [6] [5] jogs through both 83 and 11 to arrive back at 12! [4] His search for hidden doors fails, as there are no hidden doors to find. Disappointing.

Grab the Oaken Wand, then head back to room 8 and sense for life in the room to the west before cautiously entering said room.

Theodolus picks up the Oaken Wand, adding it to his inventory! [4] He successfully jogs through 82 to room 8- closing his eyes, he detects life on the other side of the western door! Cautiously sneaking into the room, he is surprised to see adwarf! Their maps merge!

Bob charges the horse and jams his wand in its face! [4]+1 The beam hits the horse right in the face! It seems to have no effect though...

Slash the Captain to death

Spartan regenerates ONE HITPOINT from his Ring of Regeneration! He attacks the Orc Captain, [2]vs[5] but misses! He attacks again, [2]-1vs[4] but the Captain dodges with ease! Once more Spartan slashes, [6]-2vs[3] and cuts a long, shallow gash across the Orc's chest for ONE DAMAGE!

Go Northward, but be wary of Traps

adwarf does not see Theodolus enter the room, and proceeds North! He enters room 80, which contains only a boulder. [1] adwarf finds no traps.

The Gas Spore floats into room 36 and bumps into Spartan. Reunited at last!

The Orcish Captain in room 36 slashes at Spartan! [6]-1vs[6] [5]-1vs[3] Spartan parries the first blow, but the second slash cuts his arm for ONE DAMAGE!

The pony in 9 kicks at Bob, [1] but Bob steps inside the pony's guard and counterstrikes! [2]vs[4] The pony evades the slash, and bites, [4]-1vs[5]-1 but Bob hobbles away!

Cast protection, then try to sneak to 36. If I'm seen, run to 36. If I'm forced to fight, then force bolt the orc twice.
If I make it, then head west, watching for traps.

Monk, did I get completely wiped from the waitlist or just get bumped back a few notches? My ability connect is finally back and I just wanted to know if I have to cycle through again.

First combat rule of bay 12 games if at first you don't succeed do something ridiculous because that just might work

Hey, you're alive! I'd removed you completely on the assumption that lack of response meant lack of interest, but since you're back within a reasonably period of time I'll throw you atop the waitlist once more.

We're currently waiting on adwarf, and WOW I only just now realized I sent him north when his action was east. My bad!
