Read a couple of news articles about a woman who was arrested for attempting to solicit a hitman to kill her ex-husband.
She honestly thought rentahitman.com was legit

"100% HIPPA compliant with the HITMAN INFORMATION PRIVACY & PROTECTION ACT of 1964"
"Due to contractual restrictions, Rent-A-Hitman is no longer affiliated with the CIA, SIS, Diners Club, Jeffrey Epstien or the Illuminati."

It's also based out of Mar-a-largo

https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/health/mind/donald-trumps-cognitive-test-president-reveals-which-question-was-very-hard/news-story/594354cd99aaeea87d78cc7759038454

Donald Trump is proud of having aced the mental impairment test.

Quote
I'm a psychologist. I've administered this test (the MOCA) hundreds, if not thousands of times. Let me tell you, bragging about acing this test is the equivalent of bragging that you tied your own shoes this morning.

Quote
I see the president is bragging about “acing” the MoCA again. I’m a doctor, we use this test all the time. You can’t “ace” the MoCA. You either get perfect or we take away your driver’s license.

Quote from: Trump
“Because, yes, the first few questions are easy, but I bet you couldn’t even answer the last five questions. I’ll bet you couldn’t. They get very hard, the last five questions.”

Yeah, that basic test to determine whether people have mental impairment, they put all the trick questions at the end for bonus points <_<

BTW they put the test here so you can try out the very hard questions Trump was talking about
https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/health/mind/montreal-cognitive-assessment-take-the-test-that-donald-trump-aced/news-story/33bb479625d7db6489335882806c81e2

This is the final question:
Quote
11. ORIENTATION (6 POINTS)

The subject must identify the current date – including the month, year and day of the week – along with the place and city they’re in.

Trump broke down the hardest question for us, pointing out that he got perfect marks, and claiming the testers said "no-one" gets it perfect. I guess Trump is extra cognitive.

Quote
“Like a memory question. It’s like, you’ll go, ‘Person, woman, man, camera, TV.’ So they say, ‘Could you repeat that?’ I said, ‘Yeah. Person, woman, man, camera, TV.’ ‘OK, that’s very good.’

“If you get it in order, you get extra points. OK now he’s asking you other questions. Other questions. And then, 10 minutes, 15-25 minutes later, they say, ‘Remember the first question? Not the first, but the tenth question? Give us that again. Can you do that again?’

“And you go, ‘Person, woman, man, camera, TV.’ If you get it in order, you get extra points. They said nobody gets in order. It’s actually not that easy, but for me it was easy. That’s not an easy question.

Knowing myself I'm honestly worried I wouldn't pass the last memory question and that's terrible :(

It isn't perfect recall, it's basic recall - basic functionality.

Apparently the YouTube recommendation algorithm ships Root and Shaw (Person of Interest.)

I was listening to Shaw's theme and it chose "Root of all Evil" as the autoplay video.

Well, actually, depression (especially long-term untreated depression) is known to have a detrimental effect on cognitive abilities like focus and short-term memory.

So, yeah, we're not just sad, some things are legitimately harder for us  :P

I quite like surreal animations with a humorous bent and this is the latest I've stumbled across, I rather enjoyed it.

Hopefully some of you will too.

(Might be a little loud, but not too much)

You know those moments when you reading the regular crazies beliefs then you get to one that makes you laugh out loud because it's so far leftfield?

https://www.news.com.au/world/coronavirus/closures/woman-behind-antimasker-rule-book/news-story/cfe822153f7c6876822b06254f4f31bd

Quote
The woman behind an anti-maskers’ rule book is a religious conspiracist ...
...
Among her beliefs, spouted in regular videos or posts on Facebook are that COVID-19 is a fake pandemic, Australia is run by a corporation, people are “a non-living … entity”, 5G is the work of Satan and people are being tracked by microchips in Victoria’s Secret bras.
