That actually sounds kind of interesting. Would certainly add more depth to dorf personality, despite the inevitable frustration.

Damn it, people! These suggestions aren't terrible enough. Work harder!

It's actually pretty terrifying to think about having all of your fat melt off into grease because you started sweating too much.

I like how a thread for terrible suggestions can still add good suggestions
Of course. Figuring out what's bad is the first step toward figuring out what's good.

The only really terrible suggestions i can image are lootboxes, pay to win and easy game modes.

For dwarfes with poor memory and/or spatial sense pathfinding works incorrectly making them lost on the map and wonderign around trying to find the place they wanted to go to. Bad thoughts are in the deal of course.

I'm curious as to how a tank would evolve. Would it climb out of the primordial ooze wiggling it's track-nubs, feeding on smaller jeeps before crawling onto the shore having evolved proper treds?
My ship exploded midflight, but all the shrapnel totally landed on Alpha Centauri before anyone else did.  Bow before me world leaders!

You no longer choose conditions for embark, and you play AS the expedition leader, when the expedition leader dies, you reincarnate into another dwarf

Nah, you play as a random creature anywhere in the world and respawn as another completely random creature whenever you die.

So now the two modes are Random mode and adventurer mode, hence the new name of the game shall be...

New type of creature "mind controlling spirit" or sort of. If you play as one of them you can control a fortress through controlling dwarfes and giving them commands where and what to dig etc. So no need of different game modes.

More bad ideas, dammit. These are too good.

Add burning as a common punishment.
Whenever a particularly heinous crime is committed (like exporting a mitten), one of the possible punishments is immolation. The guilty - or at least accussed - dwarf is lit up wherever they were standing. This fills the halls with smoke, causes bad thoughts to those who see it, and has a chance of spreading like wildfire.

Burning is not cruel enough. Debearding! For something truely evil like not producing requested item the guilty dwarf is oficially renamed to gnome. Everyone around has to call him/her like that.
