The happy thread and sad thread is really rubbing it in with the cuddle and love shit.

Daaayum. Since when did the inner cynic in you blossom like so much handfuls of thrown gravel?

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

I said "rubbing it in" which implies that I think that those things are nice.

Actually rubbing it in is a mostly negative idiom.

Also it could imply something on what you're referring to in the negative, too. :)

Ah. I mistook envy for cynicism. My apologies.

In other news, my Witcher 2 save went byebye when I upgraded my PC. So... Dang.

Ninjad: Yeah actually I think the original was either salt in wound or poo in face. Can't remember.

John Nash.
Mathematician.
Source behind 'A beautiful mind'.

I profess my ignorance so other ignorant people don't need to google him.

that feeling when you realize that an algorithm cannot both physically distinguish between the slightest changes in the input parameters and have stable output independent of input noise at the same time :-X

Racoon fell and broke its leg outside my apartment.  It was glopping around and biting anything it could, so much so that originally I got a shovel to kill it before I realized it fell from the roof.  So I shoveled it aside last night.  This morning its still alive and seems nonresponsive.  Large bloatflys keep flying to one of its legs, which makes mee want to call animal control.

Ipoor thing spent t
he night intermitently whining

It must have had brain injury or something.   It spent the night twitching and died while I slept.  It should be gone before I get back, however.

*sigh*
I have this weird obsession with the idea that the morning and waking up should be nice times of the day, not a time to worry about getting hit or shouted at.
They should be. I thought your folks were pushing too hard before, but that wakeup borders on something even worse. I'm sorry to hear :(

That's not bordering on anything. That's straight up abuse.
