You people are entirely missing the point of this thread. Hellcannon has not done anything to earn the title of legendary yet. We didn't even have any major tantrum spirals yet for crying out loud!

Wait until mine and Eric's turns come up. Then there will be reason for nomination.

Mostly because it will end abrupty, in violence.

But it is far too soon to nominate Hellcannon in the Hall of Legends. Hell, it could go down with not but a fizzle of further interest, and then each successive fortress would be subsequently less likely to achieve the prerequisite awesomeness to get into the Hall of Legends. Like a rock skipping across a pond: how many leaps could it make, as once it dips below the surface it can never return?

The stroytelling doesn't add a whole lot, though. Are we looking for more of a plot or storytelling in the sense of relating actual events to the reader, and to one-another? Properly summarizing and dressing up the events for readers' eyes is one thing, but pushing too far for plot or meaning could cause the whole experience to unravel simply because there is no meaning to Dwarf Fortress, only chaos and fabrications.
I don't see AlanL on the turn list, and he may well be the only one capable of pulling it off.

SO. I don't know if this is all going to lead to a functioning A.I, but at the very least when the above is installed and everything linked up, I will have essentially made the very first dwarfputed notepad. Hurray!
