So now I have to start a thread on whether or not to purchase Mon Bazou...

I was having difficulty finding a "should I buy" thread.
I distinctly recall a "talk me out of buying" thread.  There is a "I forgot what it is" thread. There are "talk about it" threads, most of which are promotional for their specific title.  There is even an "I died in it" thread and a "I WINNING on it" thread.  But couldn't find a "should I buy this" thread.

This is the correct level of respect to give EA. I know they're claiming to do something good, because they very badly need any positive press because they suck, but also they're trying to get accolades for doing the minimum.

The Sims series has always been on what I'd consider the forefront of these issues.  I don't think the glory goes to EA so much as ingrained design philosophies of The Sims Series.  If EA wants credit, they'll have to implement the feature in one of their many, many, many other titles. 
Hey, don't they still make RPGs with nameable characters? Do those games have this feature? No glory to EA.
